The first desks have been manufactured

Ready to learn… set up for the first students to come.

We are excited! Things are happening!

Thanks to the generous contributions of our donors (you!) we have been able to transfer the first installment (3,7 million Uganda Shillings or around 920 EUR) for 24 desk/bench combinations for the Okulaba Good Shepherd Elementary School in Mubende, Uganda.

The desks are 100% manufactured in Uganda and secure employment for local craftsmen. Soon we are going to transfer the second installment so the next batch of desks can be bought.

Preview: in June we will travel to Uganda to visit the school and support by working in collaboration with local craftsmen to finish parts of the interior and outside facilities. If you are interested in lending a helping hand and travel with us, please let us know.
